Elements are vanishing after previewing in Interact mode
FIXED. Close this.
I downloaded the latest version yesterday and noticed both static and animated graphic elements are vanishing when viewing in Interact mode When I go back into design mode, the element is gone. I tried replacing the element several times and it keeps vanishing. This is occurring on my "C" letter page 4. The sand and one of the animated reeds disappeared. I did add one more animated graphic to the page with 30 frames, but that shouldn't cause this to happen…
Update: This may be my bad, the 30 frame animation I added to the page is not named correctly, as the number appended to each frame begins with 3 which may be the reason this is occurring. I'll rename the frames and advise if that resolves issue.
Update: Fixed - problem was the animated element file name frames were appended with _3D1001.png which violated the required numeric sequencing convention. I renamed each frame appended with _1.png, 2.png, etc and that fixed it. You can close this one now.
Charmaine, thanks so much for updating us on this and letting us know that the issue was in fact resolved!

narration
I have been adding narration in the last version of interactbuilder by checking the option when Importing it - for narration- as I have set up a toggle behaviour button at the beginning of book to turn off or on the narration. This option when importing sound is not there now? I tried the new narration audio selection - can't get it to work either. Can you please advise me. thankyou Cathy Lane
You now have to use the Play Narration behavior to play any narration audio. We will be creating some video tutorials in the next few days to cover this in detail. You can create an action set that is setup to be invoked on page load.
Play audio not available on Drag End
I tried to add a Play Audio action on Drag End but get a message saying it isn't supported for this action set. I want to be able play a positive reinforcement audio clip after user traces a graphic letter and assume this was the best way to do that. If there is a better way to do this, kindly advise. Thanks.
I've tried to recreate this by adding to an element DragEnd-PlayAudio behavior and it's working great. On this element I have: Drag-Move and DragEnd-PlayAudio, and by the end of the Drag behavior the audio play.
Here is a sample for you to see:
Page Turn Effect Bug
I get an error message when I try to turn off the page turn effect in the global Navigation Menu. I do not want to have the default page turn arrows in all four corners as usability experts have determined that kids hold the ipad from the bottom left and right corners of the ipad. Therefore I want to disable this feature and just use my own buttons on the top left and right of each page. I assume turning off Page Turn Effects is the way to do this? If not, please advise. But do note the bug below.
To reproduce, select Page Turn Effects > None

New upgrade for interactPlayer on iOS 1 sept 2013.
I Just install the upgrade for interact player on iOS for 1 sept. 2013 at 08:03:05 Montréal, Canada time that fixes certains bugs well it created even more bugs. no text appears instead a message box saying Internal error occurred " sorry, an internal error has occurred. Please restart the application and try again, [ibSTSControls] with an OK button to continue. Receiving message button"PrevPageNav" with an OK button to continue. An other message for one of my action button said field"_FocusBorder" with an OK button. I had to press the OK button 4 times for the action to start. Close my iPad, restart it after 5 minutes, open interactplayer for the 5 time nothing changed.
So if you read this before you open your iPad don't do the upgrade.

Not sure how we slipped up on this. We are submitting a fix right now to Apple, if the review process is like this past one it will take 1 to 2 days to resolve.
The update is now available as of 11:00PM CST September 2.
It would be great if you could play an animation from start to finish and then select a part of the animation to tap and play again.
This can already be easily achieved by creating two frame animations (same frames but you specify different starting frame for the second animation. So when the page opens it shows the first frame animation and you can add a transparent element at the spot where the character stops. An action set can then be added to the transparent image that calls the second frame animation which makes the character roar.
Let us know if you need more detail on how to implement this.
Action tab does not reflect Action manager re-ordering
0ms animations now takes a few seconds...
Can anyone access their dropbox in app, on a Windows machine?
