Speed up page loading in design / interact mode

It would be awesome if you could speed up the loading of pages when one clicks on a go to next page button.  Not sure if this is dependent solely on the weight of the assets on the page being called, but if there is anything you can do to speed this up both in design mode and interact mode that would be great.  It takes about 10 sec for me to load each page in design mode.   Thanks for your consideration.

I'm not really seeing any issues loading pages in design mode.  On a complex app that we have it takes less than 2 seconds to move between pages in design mode and about the same amount of time to move to interact mode.  I am going to close this topic for now.  Try the latest version 3.3, if you still have an issue we may need to look at your app.  I'm sure by now you have optimized your graphics. Do you have animations with a ton of frames?

3.4 Locking up and not allowing edit or delete.

I work on P.C.  I downloaded Builder 3.4 today Sat 1/25.  I am having same problem in 3.4 as Clint.  When working in Design I have a couple pages that just lock up.  I can't even get out of Builder without Task Manager.  The pages have several elements with simple linear transition so I thought I would try deleting a few elements.  The program will not even let me delete an element but locks up listing a problem with database.

There is no way to edit and try to adjust the page to play appropriately.  I really need a fix for this.

Draw Line

In the old version, the DrawLine allowed you to start drawing, stop, start back drawing in a different direction, stop, continue in a different direction and so on.  In this way you could get a bent line.
Now once the mouse is released, the line cannot be continued in any direction.
How can I get it to work like before?

Hi Jen,
If you add a Drag-Move (Self) action set to the element, the effect should work as it did before, where you can continue adding to the line.

Android player issues

Tried the InteractPlayer on my brand new Samsung Galaxy S4.
First, as already mentioned, it is hard to see the login window, but it's only once.
Second, it takes 25 seconds to start (!), the screen is black (no splash), as if it is off. Very frustrating. And not only in the first run. Same with my S3 mini.
Third, when I download an app, I get an error message:

I can't click the "Send Error" (and can't hardly see it). Download continues and completes, but there's nothing in any of the shelves.
And forth - the icon for the player is SO similar to Google Play icon:

"Manage Action sets" dialog - vertical scale

Please allow scaling of the dialog (at least vertically). When there are lots of actions it is hard to read.

Audio bug - on tap to play audio causes animation to be sliced

After assigning on tap to animated .png sequence to play an short .mp3 sound effect, a small rectangular piece of the animation displays in the center of the screen when element is tapped.  The animation continues to its target location but the rectangle with a slice of the animation stays in place.  I'm using a PC with the latest version of IB3.  Then program crashed and keeps crashing when I reopen the program.  Hopefully this will resolve when I reboot... spent the entire day try to work around IB3 bugs....sigh.

This issue seems to happen only on Windows and not on a Mac.  It should not appear when you run your app on a device, we are trying to find out what the issue is and get it resolved.

Problem with reordering pages

I'm having problems reordering pages.  My project now has 20 pages.  Ten pages at a time are visible on the page manager.  When I scroll down to reorder a page numbered 11-20, when I begin to drag it in the page manager to reorder it, it jumps to the spot on the list of the items 1-10 and I'm not able to get it beyond page 11 by dragging to the bottom of the screen.  For instance, if I have pages 11-20 displayed on the page manager and click page 13 and drag it down,(i.e., to assign it a higher pager number) the page manager locates it immediately after page 2 on the scrollable page list in the page manager, and I can only drag it to after page 10.  In other words, as soon as I start dragging it, the page manager assigns it postion 3 on the list and not position 13.   I hope that description makes sense.  Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?  Thanks.

Slow page turn

Hi, I have two apps that are almost identical with one exception.  In app A, you tap anywhere on the screen to go to the next page.  In app B, you tap on a specific area, it plays the audio "good job" then goes to the next page.  App A is snappy and App B hangs on each page turn for way too long.  The "good job" audio is 24k, so it really shouldn't be causing such a slowdown!  Also, the slowdown happens even on the first page which is identical. I am wondering what I can do to help.  It is not a large app and is quite simple, just has 2 images appear and plays some audio on each page.

In app B, is the Jump behavior chained after the Tap-PlayAudio action set? If so, it might be that the Jump behavior is lagging when waiting for the audio to finish. Try instead creating a Tap-Jump action set with a Delay Before of a second or two so that it goes to the next page without depending on the PlayAudio behavior.

Zoom function in IB3

When I zoom in under Design, there is no scrollbars. This makes zoom rather disfunctional, since I can only see, what's in the middle of the screen.

I'm working on an iMac with Mavericks.

Is it supposed to be like that, or is it a bug?

There aren't any scrollbars but in the right corner beside the  zoom in/out spyglasses there is a cross like icon that let's you drag across the screen as shown in the attached image:
