IB4 and the internet

Does this new version of InteractBuilder require you to be connected to the internet?
if I try to use without internet it says that You are not currently connected to the internet, so no updates can be retrieved. 
When I click ok, it goes to a black screen.

IB4 does not require the internet but you can't interact with your app unless you have an internet connection.  We will double check the scenario you mention above, if it is a problem we will address it in a future update.

Basic Element Condition (SOUND)

Hi. Is it possible to add a Basic Element Condition that would work with SOUND : {Sound} Is On  and {Sound} is Stop. We have it for ELEMENT and TEXT in different situation. I use the ELEMENT to start any kind of action instead of calculating delays before and all.

This would be extremely difficult for us to do Serge (at least at this time). You could put a timer on the page and use the Timer conditions to determine if the action set should run.  There might be another way to handle this, I will give it some more thought.

iPhone formatting not working.

I created a vertical book that tested well on the iPad.  When sent to a client's iPhone the background looked okay, but it formateed the buttons horizontally and they went off the screen.  Kauai Sands Hotel is the app.

Version 3.2 is coming out with an updated Player.  This will resolve any issues such as the one you have reported here.   The new version of InteractPlayer for iOS devices should be available within the next couple of weeks assuming Apple can get their developer site back up and running (we are on day 8 of them being down).

Font support for IOS and Android versions of App

Is it ok to have two versions of my app, i.e., one for IOS release and another for Android release?  Or is this a given? The reason I may need to do this is because the font I want to use in my IOS version isn't supported by Android, so I need to make a different version of my app for Android with a similar font that is supported on android devices.  Was just wondering if that would pose a major problem for you when you submit it to the Android market for me down the road.

Hi Charmaine, it wont be a problem if you have two copies of your app: one for iOS and one for Android. Thank you for your feedback.

Version 4

How do I get the version 4? When I start up InteractBuilder, it says: An error occurred while trying to check for updates. You may have a spotty internet connection or the server may be temporarily unavailable.
And I do not find any link on the web site to get it either.

This issue has been resolved.  Please run the InteractBuilder again, and follow the directions when the update screen shows up.

problem nudging an element

Most of the time the arrow keys on my keyboard don't work when I try to nudge an element. The arrow buttons on the IB screen nudge elements at more than one pixel. I can see the element move twice with each tap. I have an element that needs to be moved one pixel and I can't manage to align where I want it with my mouse. Any suggestions??

One  thing you can do is in the element properties go to the INFO  section and you can set the exact location of the element thus being able to move it just one pixel.

Add Duplicate Page option

It would be nice to have the ability to duplicate a page so one doesn't have to manually copy things to a new page. Perhaps add feature to the drop down Page options on top right of GUI and maybe on the right side of the screen under Duplicate.  If there is already a way to do this, please advise.

You can duplicate any page by accessing the Page Manager.  The Page Manager can be accessed by clicking on the top right corner (the app name), and then clicking on the pages icon on the bottom right.
