Hello. Mavericks and Interactplayer / Interactbuilder

Hi!  In the recent month I have been working in a iMac 10.8.5, 3.1 GHz, Core i7 with 16 GB.  Both, the Builder and the Player run fine.  This morning, I updated my previous Air 10.6.8 to Mavericks, as I read that the new system would be faster and more efficient.  However, when trying to run the Builder and the Player I found that both have some issues.  The common one and that I find relevant in terms of timings for animations, etc is that both of them, either in the Interact mode or in the Player itself run very slow... Before installing Mavericks I was able to see my app in the Player of the Air.  Any recommendation?

Manage Action Sets - hard to use (cannot choose parent for grouped actions)

Using the Manage Action Sets dialog is a pain. Same actions are grouped together. So when I want to set the chains dependence, it is impossible to choose which action (in the group) to be its parent. I guess the program just set the parent to be the first action in the group.

Please let us choose or let us set the Parent Action Set manually in the Action tab. Or let us undo the grouping.

drawing app- erase- draw again

Hi again Alin,

The "draw page" sample app you sent me works well until you try to draw again after erasing. The screen freezes and I have to shut down the program. Is there a way to continue drawing. I tried a few things but nothing worked.

Interact player for ipad

deleting my apps

When I try to delete anything from the list of My Apps on the ipad player, I select the delete button and the player crashes. When I open it back up nothing has been deleted

This is a known issue with the Player, it will be fixed in a future update.

Copy behavior settings

It would be nice if one could copy the action set settings from one element to another element on stage so you only have to modify one parameter to save development time. For example all elements on stage are doing same type of animated or transition behavior yet on tap they all call different pages.  So you'd only have to change the page number being called and not have to manually set the other similar behaviors.  I suppose in hindsight, one way to do this is  you could just duplicate one object after you set all its parameters and then swap the graphic  or text element out another graphic.  But if you've already set all your objects on stage how you want them, it might be a nice feature to have.  Thanks!

Hi Charmaine, you can do that by simply hitting Copy and Paste buttons in the Action Set Manager. I've attached a picture so you can see


You first Click the Copy Button then you go to the element that you want to copy those actions and after that you click the Paste Button.

How do I delete page templates?

Templates are stored in a folder under Documents/InteractBuilder called:

__Templates__


You can delete any template you want from that folder.

just now allowed today's upgrade, and now no element data is appearing!


I will uninstall / reinstall and see if that resolves this.

Sean, all you need to do is reboot your machine and the dialog text will appear, no need to install anything.  The joy of Windows...

swipe throw error

I have objects that I would like to be able to Drag>Move and Swipe>Throw.
The Swipe>Throw works in interactmode on the computer but not on the ipad.

InteractBuilder 3.2.1 Build 308 cannot access info

After updating to InteractBuilder 3.2.1 Build 308 now all of my information is blank in these little thin strips as seen below.  I removed the program then re-installed fresh and it still shows the same thing.  If I try to add anything new it shows the same thing.  Can't use the program. -Ann

Do you have this problem only for this book or for all of them?

Try reinstalling the program but first make sure all of the files are removed when you uninstall the program.
