Show 1 random element at the time in a group

Anita Sølver 12 years ago updated by Inna Komarovsky 11 years ago 19
If I have 10 elements in the same group, how will I be able to show one or two random elements at the time, and only show the next, when the first have been hidden by a user action? Every elements may only be used once.

And how will I move one, when all have been used?
Answer

There is no special feature on how to select a specific element from the group. Could you give us in more details what  you want to do so we can find a way to do it?

IB4 builder and player both extremely slow

Gabrielle Strouse 11 years ago updated by Inna Komarovsky 11 years ago 3
Today I just started building the shell of a new book in IB4.  Right now I have 8 pages, each page has a single image.  Building the book was incredibly slow-- at times I got up and walked away from the computer while waiting for it to just change from one page to another.  Now I have it previewing on interactplayer.com and it takes literally 10 seconds between when I press to go to the next page and when it loads.  This seems crazy--considering each page only contains one single jpg right now.  I tried rebooting my computer.  Any other ideas?

artifacts after frame animation ends

SeanB 11 years ago updated by Skye Brill 7 years ago 9
Two different pages, after a frame animation ends, there is an artifact left on the screen.

One: - line at top of animation. I think I reported this already, but could not find the bug here.

Two: - a bit at left of animation

disconnects when it reaches a certain page.

June Alison 12 years ago updated by Ezra Weinstein (Administrator) 12 years ago 2

I really enjoy working with interactbuilder 3.0 so easy to handle,, but I have a small issue, and that it is when I have uploaded my app, it goes smoothly, but when I open the app and come to page 3, it just stops and goes out totaly out of the app again.

Answer

That is EXCELLENT News June.   We are working on a whole new InteractPlayer that will cause less problems.  This is what we are focused on next.

Word Highlighting Long Page of Text

Data Command 12 years ago updated 11 years ago 3
The Word Highlighting screen only shows the first 9 lines of text. On some pages I have more than 9 lines and I cannot see the words when I am setting the timing or edit the timing on the 10th and greater lines.

Answer
For now we would recommend to split the lines into separate elements (not each line, but you can put them in a couple of groups).  It's probably easier to manage the highlighting by doing this.

Add a new address to the address book?

Data Command 11 years ago updated by Alin Alexandru Matei 11 years ago 3
I am trying to add a new address to my address book.  I add the first, last name and email and when I click “save” it hangs there and does not add the contact.
Answer
We were unable to replicate this issue.  Maybe try a different browser, we recommend Chrome. Let us know if it still occurs.

Background image error

Ranco 12 years ago updated by Ezra Weinstein (Administrator) 12 years ago 0

Had a BG image already loaded, which I wanted to use as the page's BG image. So under the page properties, Background Image, I chose "select Image from App". Once I selected that image, I got the message below. then, the builder completely lost it's sense...

(First time I copied the error, I got the word "mundane" in the clipboard, second time, I got this:)

If you click on a new action, then (without filling anything) click on info (for example, to see the x,y coordinates of the object), you get this error:
