Problems at closing and some more...

When I Close the InteractBuilder there is a note "Interact Builder 4.0.385 has stopped working, Windows is looking for a solution" and the program won't shut down. I have to use the Ctrl+Alt+Del to Close IB. I have installed the IB version 4.0.6, build 385. I made a clean install by moving everything from the old 3.0 folder and even searceh the register to get rid of old garbage there. IB also hve some problems at startup, it is slower and sometimes hangs. Not like the old 3.0 was. Any idea?

Can you tell us a little about your system configuration (memory, etc.).  Also do you have any anti-virus software installed?  We have not seen this happen on Windows machines.

I want to check pg i'm working on and have tried each selectetion:indiv pg,all pages withsame result.  All options create same situation interact player is not goinig past "loading" cover page

Absolutely, you could use an intersection to simulate an element locking into place.  The educational app we built for STEMscopes has several examples of this working:

Basically you create an intersection between the element the user is dragging and a transparent element over the area where you want the element to lock into place.  The action set for the intersection would end up hiding the element that the user drags and then displaying a duplicate element that is locked into place.

Clear Cache upon Launch of App

Not sure if you can do this, but it would be nice upon launch of app within IB3 if you can force the cache to be cleared so the app loads faster.  Unless I manually delete my cache in the docs folder before launching the app it takes longer to launch my app.  Thanks for considering.

I would kindly request that you provide a lot more detail to your requests and it's always a good idea to create a quick one page sample of an app that is exhibiting the issue you are running into.  Replay Count for what?  What behaviors are you using what interactions, what is your element that you are trying to invoke a replay on?

Frame animations when backing a page, their time. Page menu jumping around.

Hi! Thanks for the update sent yesterday! It solved various issues that I experienced when uploading and playing my app either in the Interactplayer version for the desk or for the iPad. Some remain, for which I appreciate your help.

1. When jumping back to a page where language is to be selected, the frame animation does not appear and the menu shows the second language, instead of the first selected.

2.  Frame animations have improved importantly, some delay remains.  Any suggestions to solve this?

3.  Page menu/scroll:  the thumbnails as well as the stripe behind them no to stick to the constraints and jump around the page.  What to do?

Could you send us a sample app at alin@interactstudios.com with these situations?situation 1 and 3 in particular, because I tried to recreate them but everything worked okay.

HELP!! MY PROJECT FOLDER HAS SUDDENLY APPEARED EMPTY!

I have a really BIG problem:

I am in my last week to finish the project I was making (55 pages)… I was refining the last details… I had all wip versions in a dedicate folder (in the menu screen) within the Interact Builder. Then, I created a new project folder by mistake, which I rapidly deleted… but then, when I entered again my project folder,  it was empty!! I have checked my local InteractBuilder folder on my Mac > Documents ; and I have still the associated folders with the material there; but I don't now how to recover the projects! I don't understand why they have disappeared, since it was the other (empty) folder I had just created which I deleted…

please, any of you have an idea of what has happened and how to restore the project folder??

Unable to view converted IB4 app on interact player.com

I converted my app to IB4 and then clicked the Interact button. I was taken to interactplayer.com and prompted to login. I tried to login and got the following message.
Oops! You already have 3 devices registered to share apps

Please contact support@interactstudios.com.

So how to I view my app on interactplayer,com? Do you have to reset my devices?

Bug when duplicating a Text Element

Hi again. Sorry if I only have bad news. When I duplicate a Text Element the new Text Element  doesn't keep the choices I made like Font, Font size, Font colour and the rest.

How about creating a new Category tab on your forum for Tutorial Wish List items so folks could list topics they would like to learn how to do?  Such as how to create a coloring book page (using "crayons"), Create a Maze or Create a Simple Puzzle, How to Highlight Text with Audio, etc.  Or perhaps you could create some templates for folks to open in IB3 and customize with their own content to speed dev time.
