InteractBuilder 4.0.2 Build 381conversion
However, the Page Load action does not work, wherever I click with the mouse, a little white circle shows up, and I cannot type into a text box. Actually, looks as though no actions work.
Are there any touchups we need to do after the conversion?
Incidentally, I just re-created the first few pages from scratch. Same thing happens. Plus when I clickInteract, it just goes to a particular page which is not the first page.
The white circle is just part of the way the app displays in browsers to signal that you have clicked an area, but the other two problems that you reported shouldn't need touch-ups. Did you have Explorer as your default browser when you tested the app in previous versions of InteractBuilder? We do suggest testing the apps with Google Chrome since InteractBuilder is optimized for this browser. I have checked the forum, user guide and YouTube channel, and though all 3 has some info on the subject, none of it is complete.
The forum has a link to an app that can be downloaded, and I tried that, and got an error while trying to open it in IB.
The user guide has a partially written instruction on how to do it.
The YouTube channel has a video about masking, but it's not really helpful in understanding the basics of how to do it, other than how to use a mask.
So, is there a guide or testapp somewhere, that will work with IB3, or can someone explain how to do it?
Any help will be most welcome :)

deleting a page, adding a new one and importing psd file
Hey there,
I've deleted a page in the middle of a book, then added a new page in the same location. When I try to upload a psd file, I got an error message telling me to restart the software. I am still unable to load the psd file at all.

We are working on a fix for the Photoshop import problem. I assume you are using a Windows computer since it seams to be isolated to Windows.

Not exactly sure how this works, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Is it supposed to put an image in ipad pictures?
Fill colour is only working once
Is this an unknown problem, or have I missed something out? I don't really want the user to have to keep pressing the 'page refresh' option all the time..
Also, I can't download any of the sample apps in the program.. could you email them to me and give me information on how to install them?

The FillColor problem is a glitch we're working on fixing soon. Regarding the sample apps, they will be going through updates to reflect some improvements to version 4 of InteractBuilder, but if there are any specific effects or apps that you would be interested in seeing, we could put that together for you and email a link to download the app folder.
cannot login
Whenever I try to login to my account in the InteractBuilder or Player on my computer it does not work. It also does not work on my iPhone 4. Works on the website though, so am I doing something wrong or is this a bug that will be fixed in the upcoming version release?

Sorry for the confusion. We have not unified the InteractBuilder software with the web site authentication process. What you need to do is run the InteractBuilder and click the REGISTER button on the opening screen. Register yourself and you should be all set.
Once you register the software you can then share apps and when you share an app the recipient will receive an email indicating their user id (email address) and password to use when logging into the Player.
Let us know if this resolved your issue.

Page > Jump UI enhancement
Please consider making the Jump behavior accessible from the top Behavior level rather than having to drill through Page > Jump to define a page number. (One less step for developers and will save us time, and hand fatigue!) Thanks.
What we might do is provide the user the ability to keep a list of favorite behaviors, moving it to the top level is not possible because the top level is used for behavior categories.
About publishing fees
An App for a book (which is only 7-10 pages each), am I thinking it correctly? Or am I misunderstanding the concept of an App?
If each app is relatively short or simple, one option would be to combine a group of them into one app. Maybe if ten of the apps are about a specific topic, you could have an app that has something like a library of those ten books, which would actually all be in the same app. This can also make the app feel more substantial and layered for the end user and worth the price.
The $299 yearly publishing membership does cover one app per year, and the $99 per additional app is for the process of having the additional apps submitted to the app marketplaces. If you use your own developer account instead of ours and submit your InteractBuilder apps yourself, the additional fee does not apply.
Just to clarify since you used the terms "e-book" as well as "app," the main difference between the two is that an app can have many more features like animation, sound effects, video, drawing, and more, while an e-book is usually simply for reading on an e-reader or other device. Some enhanced e-books have more options like simple animations and audio, but apps usually represent a more flexible range of functionality and interactivity. InteractBuilder creates apps and allows for many interactive options.
