The processing speed depends on how many elements you have on your current working page and also on how your CPU is used.So if you have opened for example another 5 processes and you work on a page with let's say 40 elements, InteractBuilder will act slower. [ALIN]

What Alin mentioned above is very true.  We are working on this very issue for version 3.4 and hopefully you will find the application performing better.  Once 3.4 is out we would like to hear from you again to see if you are still experiencing any speed issues.

When you can't see the intersections that you have created try to go into another page and then go back to the page you are working on. You should be able to see them then.

(this issue is being fixed in version 3.4)

Absolutely not necessary to upgrade to premium, although we'd love to have you as a paying customer.  Regardless, all your apps that you create are stored in your Documents folder (by default), under a folder called InteractBuilder.  You can simply copy the app folder from your PC to your Surface and you should be all set.

There is another way to do it as well.  You can download the InteractPlayer from the InteractBuilder web site:

www.interactbuilder.com/software

You can install the Player on both machines.  Once the InteractPlayer is installed make sure to register your software. Information on registering the InteractBuilder software can be found here:

http://www.interactbuilder.com/userguide/lessons/Registering_InteractBuilder.html

It's FREE to register.  Once you register click the Publish button in the Design screen and you can share your app (you will be able to share your app with up to 5 different email addresses).

Information on sharing your app can be found here:

http://www.interactbuilder.com/userguide/lessons/Share_Your_App.html

So overall you have a few choices and the good news is that you don't have to pay to try any of these out.

We have reset your account.  Please uninstall the InteractPlayer and reinstall it.  Once it is reinstalled log in to it using your InteractBuilder credentials:

User: studio@clintsuttonillustration.co.za

Make sure to use the same password that you used when you registered the InteractBuilder.

Let us know if you run into any other issues.

Hi Paul, regarding point C: You can't jump to a page by selecting it's title but you can quickly select a page on which you want to go using the Select Page feature as shown below:

To answer your questions Paul:

1. You can register your copyright of your book at any time, we are not attorneys so it's best to investigate this on your own.  We have no ownership of the work you create and therefore you are responsible to ensure it is properly copyrighted.

2. Your first page is really up to you, I definitely recommend if you are working on an interactive book app to use the first page as your title and to have a totally different image than your thumbnail.  The thumbnail is extremely small and users won't be able to read any information from it.

3. I would recommend using the "Jump Next Page" and "Jump Previous Page", this way the pages are not "hard coded" so adding more pages in between should not cause you any issues.

Charmaine, thanks so much for updating us on this and letting us know that the issue was in fact resolved!

You can use the multiple selection tool to erase elements.  We could not recreate the issue you are reporting.  You should only load a page template once, if you need to upload it again we recommend deleting your elements first that are in the page template, and then loading the page template.  Otherwise it will duplicate the elements which is not the result you are looking for.

Could you provide us with a sample app with one page showing this problem to alin@interactstudios.com?
