Copyright, cover image & page jump
Hi
a) I would like to know: how does copyright work? can I register the work before sending it to InteractBooks to publish?
b) I am finishing my book now. But on the first page I have what should be the cover... is that right? or should I keep it only in the book self thumbnail? Mine is a rather classical front page (title + author's name + illustrations) and I fear in the little thumbnail those data won't be readable... so thumbnail and front page should be different images?
c) Is there a way to change the jump to page behaviour by pages name and not pages number? I have to add some new pages now, and I will have to change all my page jumps now.. (and there is a bunch of them...)
Thanks!
Pablo

Hi Paul, regarding point C: You can't jump to a page by selecting it's title but you can quickly select a page on which you want to go using the Select Page feature as shown below:
Hi Alin
Thanks for the reply. I know you can select a target page; but I was wondering if there was a way to link targets to actual content (maybe linked to name?) of the pages; and so, when adding a new page at the beggining of the book, or in between; not having to reset all the page jump actions... I feared it was not possible. So I think I'll rather make a suggestion of it ;)
To answer your questions Paul:
1. You can register your copyright of your book at any time, we are not attorneys so it's best to investigate this on your own. We have no ownership of the work you create and therefore you are responsible to ensure it is properly copyrighted.
2. Your first page is really up to you, I definitely recommend if you are working on an interactive book app to use the first page as your title and to have a totally different image than your thumbnail. The thumbnail is extremely small and users won't be able to read any information from it.
3. I would recommend using the "Jump Next Page" and "Jump Previous Page", this way the pages are not "hard coded" so adding more pages in between should not cause you any issues.

Hi Ezra! thanks for the reply, I will check for info about copyright registering. The problem with "jump to page" was that I had created a Table of contents, and so pages where not consecutive to the one where the link was. Anyway, I have fixed it just changing target page, and wasn't all that work after all.

Pablo
