Does the the 'snapshot' function work on all devices?

Ted Ollikkala vor 10 Jahren aktualisiert von Inna Komarovsky vor 9 Jahren 6
Is the the 'snapshot' function supposed to work on all devices (PC, ipad, android tablet & smartphone)? I have tried it and nothing seems to happen. I want to tap on an element have have the snapshot recorded for the user (of course, they can take their own screen capture at any time but an in-app button is more conducive). BTW, does a snapshot capture the same exact area as a screen capture?

Thanks!

The SnapShot behavior seems to currently be not working, and we have reported this to our lead developer. Thank you for bringing our attention to this!

Hello Ted, the snapshot capture is indeed capturing the entire screen. As for the devices that the snapshot function is working, these devices are: iPad, android tablet & smartphone.
Hi, I'm having the same problem in preview. I'm trying it out on two separate android devices but it isn't saving any screenshots. Does the snapshot feature only work when the app is published? If so, how can we be sure before publishing that it's definitely working?

Thank you Inna, I will have to just include instructions of how to do it manually, unless you think it will be fixed soon?
Sorry, we don't provide time estimates on individual bug fixes. All bugs, after being verified, are prioritized and addressed individually. A bug can have a quick fix or can turn out to take a lot of work to resolve.

In this case, I think that including instructions on the manual process would be a good idea. This way, it will work no matter what, and users will also learn how to use the feature regardless of what app they are using : )
