InDesign to Interact

I have a book laid out in InDesign CS4.  I am looking for the most efficient way to transfer the pages, layers, elements, etc. into Interact.  I have not been able to find a way to export the ID files as PSD.

It seems you need to export your InDesign file as a PDF file then you can open that PDF file in Photoshop and then save it as a PSD file.

Thanks for the reply.  I tried exporting as a PDF (version 4/2008 or whatever it was), I imported into Photoshop and it did not have layers.  I am using Photoshop 6 (I know, ancient tech).

I found a small tutorial on youtube that explains how to export files from InDesing to Photoshop using a custom script:

Man, the script is only for Mac unfortunately.

It looks like without a script this process takes some more work, but in this video there are some suggestions about making the transition more efficient:
