Deleting an element in an action set error

Melissa Lind 11 years ago updated by Alin Alexandru Matei 11 years ago 2
I had two elements in an action set of 4. When I deleted one of them and went back into the action set, it still said there were 4 actions, but it would not let me delete the two that were unnecessary and gives me an error code. After this error the system slows to a crawl and I have to restart.

Hi! When you say that you had two elements with an action set of four, do you mean that the two elements had the same four action sets? Was the unnecessary action set still there when you restarted the program? [Inna]
We were able to recreate this error and we are working to fix this. Thank you for poiting this out.

From what I understand she deleted an element that was set as a target for an action set. And for what I know if you delete such an element, the action set will remain but the Target will be blank.
This is what I had:

tap A > show C and D, hide A, show B, play audio X
tap B > hide C and D, hide B, show A, play audio X

Then I merged elements C and D in photoshop and swapped the image file for C and erased D. When I try to erase the actions for D in the actions set manager, I got the errors. When I closed the program, the actions for B were still there, I got an error if I chose them in the manage action sets toolbar. I am able to erase them in the simple action toolbar, but when I go into the manage action set toolbar, it is still there, but nested with tap play audio. Initially I could see  "show D", but after I tried to erase it, closed the program and re-opened,  when I'm in the action manager and click on play audio I still get an error message to restart.

C and D were notes on a piece of paper. I had them as two separate layers because I wanted to be able to edit the text at the end because I wasn't sure what tips I would need to give the reader until the app was about finished. Thus the two separate layers in the beginning.

I tried to erase all the actions and reapply them, but it's still messed up in the action manager. Too tired to try it now, but I'll try deleting the element and starting from scratch tomorrow.
