This error happens once you click the "Select PSD file", before you get to select the file.

Hi there and thanks for following up.
It happens just about every time if you aren't on the last page and try to insert into a new page in the middle of your book. If you make a new page at the end of the book and then try to import the psd there it only happens sometimes, so it is somewhat of a work around to try. Sometimes takes 10 tries to get around it, restarting IB after each crash. Sometimes I'll add a couple blank pages until I get one that will accept a psd import, then go back and delete the extra blank ones.
As Ranco said, it isn't to do with the PSD file as it is before you select the file, or even if you click on the Dropbox option.
Thanks
